Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 (.7-ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp onion salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 ground black pepper

Instructions
 

Prepare the Herb Mixture

  • In a saucepan, combine the water, Italian-style salad dressing mix, dried oregano, dried basil, dried parsley, onion salt, garlic powder, bay leaf, salt, and black pepper.
    Stir well and bring the mixture to a boil.

Cook the Roast

  • Place the rump roast in your slow cooker.
    Pour the hot herb mixture over the roast.

Slow Cook

  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on Low for 10 to 12 hours or on High for 4 to 5 hours.

Shred and Serve

  • Once the meat is tender, remove the bay leaf and shred the beef with a fork.
    Serve with some of the delicious gravy from the slow cooker.
