Simple Italian Sweet and Savory Melon Prosciutto Bites
These Sweet and Savory Melon Prosciutto Bites are an easy and elegant appetizer combining juicy melon, fresh basil, mozzarella, and prosciutto, drizzled with balsamic glaze.

- 1 cantaloupe
- 12 fresh basil leaves
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (ciliegine)
- 12 slices of prosciutto
- Balsamic glaze, for drizzling
Prepare the Cantaloupe
Cut the cantaloupe in half and remove the seeds with a spoon. Use a melon baller to scoop out 24 small melon balls. If you don’t have a melon baller, you can cut the cantaloupe into small bite-sized cubes.
Assemble the Skewers
Take a toothpick or small skewer and start layering your ingredients: first, add a melon ball, then a basil leaf, followed by a mozzarella ball, a piece of prosciutto (folded or rolled), and finish with another melon ball.Repeat until you have made all 12 skewers.
Serve
Arrange the skewers on a serving platter, then drizzle them with balsamic glaze. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
