- ½ cup caramel sauce plus more for drizzling on top
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Soften the Cream Cheese Make sure your cream cheese is fully softened to room temperature before starting — this is the most important step for a perfectly smooth creamy dip. Leave it out for at least 30 minutes or microwave for 15-20 seconds.Beat the Cream Cheese In a large mixing bowl beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer or stand mixer on medium speed for 1-2 minutes until completely smooth and fluffy with no lumps remaining.Add the Sweeteners and Spices Add brown sugar powdered sugar cinnamon vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to the cream cheese. Beat on medium speed for another minute until everything is fully incorporated and the mixture is light and fluffy.Fold in the Caramel Add the caramel sauce and fold it gently into the cream cheese mixture using a spatula. Reserve a little extra caramel for drizzling on top.Transfer and Garnish Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Drizzle generously with extra caramel sauce on top and sprinkle with chopped pecans or toffee bits if desired.Serve immediately with fresh sliced apples for dipping. Granny Smith apples provide the perfect tart contrast to the sweet creamy dip. Honeycrisp and Fuji work beautifully too!
- Softened cream cheese is absolutely essential — cold cream cheese will leave lumps no matter how long you beat it
- Make it completely ahead — store covered in the fridge for up to 5 days and give it a quick stir before serving
- For a salted caramel version add an extra pinch of flaky sea salt on top before serving — incredible!
- Use store-bought caramel sauce for speed or homemade for extra flavor
- Granny Smith apples are the best dipper — their tartness perfectly balances the sweet rich dip
- To prevent apple slices from browning toss them in a little lemon juice before serving
